Jennifer Lin Russell is a Professor of Leadership, Policy, and Organizations at Vanderbilt University’s Peabody College, a Senior Fellow at the Carnegie Foundation for the Advancement of Teaching, and Co-Director (with Donald Peurach) of the Improvement Scholars Network. Her research focuses on organizing educational systems for improvement, with a particular emphasis on networked continuous improvement. Her work seeks to reshape the relationship between educational research and practice to create more equitable learning opportunities for students. She is co-editor of The Foundational Handbook on Improvement Research in Education (Rowman and Littlefield, 2022). She received her PhD in education policy, organizations, measurement, and evaluation from the University of California, Berkeley, an MA in curriculum and instruction from the University of San Francisco, and a BA in political science and urban studies from Northwestern University.
