Yiwen Lin is a Research Associate at the Learning Research and Development Center at the University of Pittsburgh. Her research examines how people learn and solve problems together, from students working in collaborative teams to educators building professional capacity for educational improvements within Gates Foundation-supported school improvement networks. At Pitt, she studies how generative AI is reshaping teaching and learning across higher education and K–12, with particular attention to co-design processes that bring teacher and student voices into design. Lin brings together computational and mixed-methods approaches to produce insights that are both empirically grounded and actionable for stakeholders. She holds a Ph.D. in Education from the University of California, Irvine and a B.A. in Psychology and International Studies from the University of Michigan.
